One of the historical figures said to have contributed to Bram Stoker's Dracula narrative was Elizabeth Báthory. She was an Hungarian Countess who was accused of practicing vapirism on young girls to help her maintain her beauty (at least that's what modern stories like to tell). Although her castle is now a ruins (also, the castle is now located on Slovakia - Hungary's border has changed since her lifetime), we will still explore the region of Budapest as her native country. You can learn more about her in this documentary.
